In plain terms: Cletica only uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you logged in and to keep the service secure. We don't use advertising or analytics tracking cookies on cletica.com, and we don't sell or share cookie data with third parties.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They let the site remember information about your visit, like whether you're logged in. This policy explains which cookies Cletica uses on cletica.com and why — it works alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

2. Cookies we use

All cookies set by cletica.com are strictly necessary — the site can't function properly without them, so no consent banner is shown for them (as permitted under GDPR/ePrivacy for strictly-necessary cookies).

CookiePurposeDuration
access_tokenKeeps you signed in. HttpOnly — not readable by JavaScript.Short-lived, auto-refreshed
refresh_tokenIssues a new access_token without asking you to log in again. HttpOnly.Long-lived session
csrf_tokenProtects your account from cross-site request forgery attacks. Not HttpOnly — read by the browser to attach to requests.Session

None of these cookies are used to track you across other websites or to build an advertising profile.

3. Local storage

In addition to cookies, we use your browser's localStorage to remember your interface preferences — theme (light/dark) and language. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.

4. Third-party cookies

These providers act as our data processors and only use this data to provide security services to us — not for their own advertising purposes.

5. No advertising or tracking cookies

cletica.com does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other behavioral tracking or analytics cookies. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and add a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set, as required by law.

6. Cookies on surveys you take

If you fill out a survey created with Cletica (at a cletica.com/s/... link), the same strictly-necessary cookies described above may apply. Some survey creators embed additional tools of their own (e.g. their own analytics) on pages that host an embedded survey — those are controlled by the survey creator, not by Cletica, and this policy doesn't cover them.

Our separate quiz site, quiz.cletica.com (QuizAtlas), uses Google Analytics and has its own Cookie Policy.

7. Managing cookies

Because our cookies are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from staying logged in or submitting forms securely. If you still want to control or delete cookies, you can do so in your browser settings — every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies on a per-site basis. See your browser's help documentation for instructions.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies we use change. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
